Warrior Week, our signature 12-month transition program, begins with a high-touch week at Camp Southern Ground.
Warrior Week, our signature 12-month transition program, begins with a high-touch week at Camp Southern Ground. The goal of this week is to help transitioning post-9/11 veterans harness their strength, perseverance, selflessness, sacrifice, integrity, and honor as a springboard to a productive and fulfilling life after service. We apply a holistic approach to growth and discovery amongst a support network of peers and mentors who will walk with them over the next year of their journey to assist them in finding their new mission in life. The wellness and workforce readiness program helps veterans identify their unique strengths, define purpose, and develop an action plan to transform struggle into profound growth, fulfillment, and productivity.
Our nation’s veterans have operated under the highest of callings to serve and protect the freedoms of the American people. We recognize the challenge these Warriors can face leaving service and finding a new mission for themselves. Warrior Week provides post-9/11 veterans with the self-discovery tools they need along with personal evaluations to find answers on how they contribute best in their relationships, work environment, and family after they get home. If you are a post-9/11 veteran struggling with transitioning to life after military service, we are here for you.
At Warrior Week, we engage in team building exercises on the high and low ropes course, eat amazing food together, hear from world-class instructors that train on Clifton Strengths and Enneagram assessments, and spend time writing down a comprehensive plan that will get them where they want to go next. We also use the week to help veterans get connected to the massive veteran support network that exists in the non-profit sector. All of this instruction and support helps each veteran develop their new mission. We see this mission in three parts.
We use the Clifton Strengths Assessment and The Enneagram of Personality Theory to help participants discover what they do best, learn how to leverage their greatest talents, achieve a heightened self-awareness, develop and practice new ways to translate skills in a civilian setting, and improve performance, productivity, and fulfillment.
Everyone is pursuing something most of us struggle to identify, our “why”. We give veterans the time and training to ask themselves the tough questions that allow them to pursue goals that are aligned with their values and to find the passion needed to see those goals to completion.
This is the core outcome for Warrior Week. An all-inclusive plan that plots specific markers to see development in their lives professionally, relationally, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We challenge veterans to live according to the truth that the only thing we can control is ourselves. The life plan is a focused way for us to help veterans exercise self-leadership and to develop a system of accountability going forward from the program.
